Parents...
I don't know who exhausts me more...the kids in my class or some of their parents! 
I just want to say, "Seriously???" and then walk away!

AMEN sista!
I had a 40 minute conversation yesterday with a parent involving a situation between 2 students that DID NOT OCCUR AT SCHOOL, and a sub 'embarrassing' her son by not giving him a cookie after he acted out all day. THEY'RE IN 5TH GRADE. If you call the school every time your son is embarrassed by a classmate or teacher you're going to be on the phone EVERY DAY for the next 6 years!

I had a parent do the same thing. She didnt like they were working on a project at her house. Im sorry lady, but I have no control over what goes on at your house.

The all time classic three statemtents that I have either heard from other teachers or have had said to me:
I don't call you when he doesn't make his bed don't call me when he doesn't do his homework!
It's not that my child isn't smart enough to be in the accerlated program, it's just that you are not smart enough to teach him!
How do you know that she intended to use the answers on her hand, if you didn't give her the opportunity to try and use them. She just likes to write on her skin you know.

Amen again! My new favorite is why her daughter had another child spit in her face..."I don't want my daughter having someone spit in her face..." OK..if we were in 5th grade...this is...ready??? KINDERGARTEN!! (I have to say, the girl she is talking about-the spitter-is not a kid I could see being malicious about it..the drama ensues tomorrow, when I talk to them..haha)
