Parents looking for babysitters in Syosset area
Hi everyone,
I'm the teen librarian at the Syosset Public Library and wanted to mention that we are having a (free) babysitting job fair at the library for parents looking for babysitters. All our teens have completed a babysitting safety course at the library run by two RNs. It's at the Syosset Library on May 15 from 12:30-2 PM, please bring your kids so they can meet potential babysitters. There will be refreshments! Please pass along the info to anyone who needs a mother's helper or babysitter.

I know the Sachem library offers the babysitting classes for teens. Not sure about the job fair though.

It can definitely be for children that are older, 5-7 is fine and even older. Some parents like to have a younger teen act as a mother's helper for older children and we do get older teens that can watch babies and who drive and have more experience.
