Partial Bed Rest
Does anyone know exactly what partial bed rest means?
I have to work 4 hours a day, then rest.
Do I rest for the rest of the day until bedtime? Or can I still do some things? (like laundry, clean a little)
TIA

Re: Partial Bed Rest
If DH can do the laundry, let him do it. Stay off your feet as much as possible. Don't lift anything heavy...I was on bedrest for a few weeks during my pregnancy and I had to be off my feet pretty much all day. I couldn't even go to work.

Re: Partial Bed Rest
I am currently on trialing partial bed rest ( I was on total bed rest since 10/19) the MD told me stay off my feet and take it easy. No food shopping, shopping, laundry, heavy cleaning etc....... I am to go out, but I can't be on my feet for long periods of time and I should not exert myself.

Thank you! I have to make myself stay on the couch, I hope I get a little easier on myself. I just feel bad Dh has to do everything.

Don't feel bad, I looked at it as I was creating the most wonderful thing and it is a temp. situation, I read a lot of gossip magazines, and the shopaholic book series.. Now I am about 3 weeks behind in reading my gossip magazines... :) I also learned how to crochet and made her 3 baby blankets.. to you and DH....

Re: Partial Bed Rest
Remember you're doing it for your baby. Believe me it is very hard to do, especially if you have another child. Andrew was 18mths old when I placed on bedrest, trying explaining to an 18 month old why mommy can't pick him up! It was tough, but we managed/are managing. You have to do everything in your power to take it easy, for your baby's sake.
Good luck and try to enjoy it, once the baby is here you will never be able to rest like this again :)
