party food??
So I'm having a New Year's Eve party for about 50 of our friends. Since it will go fo a long period of time, I want to serve foods that I can prepare in advance, and not be in the kitchen all night. It would also be great to have stuff that doesn't have to be hot - - so there can always be something available and ready and people come and go.
Suggestions on what to serve?
Any and all dish recommendations are very much appreciated!!!!

Re: party food??
I definitely agree about a hero. People love them, and trhey last so people can grab a piece whenever they get hungry. I also like to make pasta w/ broccoli, garlic and oil. It is great at room temperature. Just leave a bowl of grated cheese near it. You could put out hot food in chafing dishes so they stay hot for a while. I've also done a big pot of chili and kept it in the crockpot on warm. I put out condiments like cheese, sour creme, onions, nachos, etc.
