Party, hall/home vs restaurant
Do you find that if you have it in a hall or at home that you NEED entertainment?

Re: Party, hall/home vs restaurant
I think it depends on the kind of party and if you will have a lot of kids there or not.
We did DD's baptism at a restaurant and just did her 1st birthday yesterday at an American Legion.
For both we hired entertainment. The baptism did not have as many kids so we did just a DJ. But the 1st birthday there were more children so we did a DJ with a party entertainer.
You could totally just do music from an iPod with speakers for either a restaurant or a house/hall party. If you have a lot of kids attending, I would consider hiring some kind of entertainment. It keeps the kids from running wild. The entertainer yesterday made sure to do tons of games with the kids, face painting, and temporary tattoos. The kids didn't run amok like I have seen them at other parties because they were engaged so much. Moms & dads appreciated it a lot also.
