Re: party place in suffolk under $300/$350
keeping it under that much with 18 kids I think will be hard. try to look for groupons.
you can do California pizza kitchen. I just had DD 4th bday party there and it was great. its $10 per person. kids make their own pizza tour the kitchen and get sundaes. only thing is they have it early mine started at 10 but the kids weren't eating till about 11:00 anyway. you bring your own cake/cupcakes. the thing that does add up is food for adults. I hade 24 kids which meant minimally 24 adults and I had some that came with both parents. I stressed about the food cause if I got a ton of food for adults it would have ended up costing me more than the kid portion. I ended up ordering from the catering menu 3 appetizers which still cost me a little over $100 and I felt it was enough. just so the parents had something to snack on.

The Ice Cream Party Shoppe in Smithtown might work. Its $280 for 15 kids and each additional kid is $16.95

I would try to look for a nail salon that is next too or on the same block as a pizzeria. Treat the girls to manicures and then go for pizza and cake. Kids manis are usually only $8 so for 18 kids it would be $144 plus maybe $36 for tips. Then pizza will run you another $80 or so. And bring cupcakes or a cake from the supermarket for another $20. You'll definitely come in under budget.

Gymnastics places are usually cheap. Our gym charges $200 for 15 kids (you bring food, decorations, etc.).
Long Island Cheer does a party, can't remember the price, but I remember it being reasonable. Beautiful facility, and the staff is nice.

There's a new candy store in Suffolk that is 8 per kid or 12 per kid with pizza
They can decorate their own cupcakes

party place in suffolk under $300/$350
ugh, i looked into a couple of those suggestions and it just seems like with 18 kids plus food for adults its going to cost $400. such a waste of money but i promised her a party this year!!!
any places that kids 2 and under are free? there are about 7 kids who will be 2 or under at the time. i feel like if i do bowling or something, they are just going to be running around so it seems like a waste.

I've never been to a party place that didn't charge for kids unless they were infants in a carrier, and not participating.
What town are you looking? Movie parties can be inexpensive. I know that the Port Jeff Cinema is only $9 a kid or something like that. Parents usually drop off and wait in the lobby.
Did you try Swirls and Twirls? Not sure what they charge, but I imagine it's inexpensive.
The only other option is to limit the guests. Do you have to do 18 people?
What about having it at home?
Honestly, I would nix adult food if it takes you over budget. I think adults expecting to be fed at a 1.5 hour kid's party is ridiculous. It's nice if you do, but I certainly never expect it. I realize I'm not the norm though.
Also, check out www.alldealslocal.com, there might be something on there

i hate to say it but I think you are looking for alot for under $350. Especially with 18 kids, food for adults and tax & tips. I just had my DD's with 20 kids and spent $700 when all was said and done.

I agree with some of the others. It's a tight budget for that many kids AND feeding the adults.
Are you sure you will have 18? If you are only inviting 18 odds are you will have a few that can't come. Also if you are really set on feeding the adults ( again if you are on a budget this is nice but not necessary) you can always book an earlier party and do bagels... it's usually the same price or a few dollars more but feeds 12 adults vs. a pizza that feeds 8.
