OK, so maybe everyone already knows this, but I didn't so I thought I'd pass it along

I just read online that if your baby is beginning to get cradle cap, one way to prevent it from getting bad is to put oil on his head 20 min BEFORE the bath... it softens the scales/flaky stuff so it's easier to wash off...

So, I just tried it (Eryk only has light scales... nothing severe) and it WORKED LIKE A CHARM! The scales rubbed off like a sticky paste on his head. Now his scalp is scale free Chat Icon I followed up with a bit more apricot oil once he was dried off...

Baby oil worked great for both of my kids.

I used T-Gel shampoo & it worked permanently on DD's cradle cap.

We used olive oil. Worked like a charm.

What worked for us....

comb out all cradle cap. Left his scalp a liiiiittle bit red.

Give bath as usual.

After each bath instead of using baby brush, use comb.

Worked like a charm and it's never come back. Proud to say Ryan has been cradle cap free for 2.5 months Chat Icon
