Passport Services @ Post Office?
The post office by me offers passport services - by appointment. Need to get a name-change.
After I figure out how to make an appointment...I'll go in there, but had these questions:
1) If I bring everything there, how quickly can they process a passport? Is there expedited service available?
2) Will I have to go to the agency in the city for any reason?
3) If I bring my SS card, Drivers License, Old Passport, and original marriage certificate -that's enough "proof" correct?

There is expedited service. We just had to renew our passports. We used the expedited service and got them in about 3 weeks.

No.

Should be. I'd check this website to make sure. Passport

You can do a name change online if you don't want to go to the post office - you just fill out a form and mail it with your marriage certificate and old passport.
I believe you can do it expedited as well that way.
Just go to CVS or somewhere like that to get a passport picture taken to include.
