Past Fox Hollow brides...a question about blocking rooms at the Inn.
are you financially responsible for any unreserved rooms you set aside?
if you reserve 10 rooms, but only 8 are booked, do you have to cover the cost of the other 2?
I am going to call them but I just wanted to see past experience.
thanks!

I didn't block rooms, but yes, it is my understanding that you are responsible for the booking of all 10 rooms.

Re: Past Fox Hollow brides...a question about blocking rooms at the Inn.
I didn't reserve rooms there but I never heard of having to be responsible for the rooms that aren't booked. From what I understood, you could reserve a block of rooms at a special rate. That rate would be offered to your guests for a limited time. Once that time expired, the rooms would be made available to the public and at the regular rate. (or I could totally be misundestanding your question here)
We ended up blocking rooms at the Best Western down the block. The Inn was more $ than we knew some of our guests wanted to spend and they even provided a shuttle to the Fox Hollow.

This is what they told us too. We sent the cards out with the invites and I think it had the date to book the rooms by listed on the cards (I could be mistaken though, my memory sucks).

I got married in 08 and remember the same thing. We were responsible for a certain number of rooms, if they weren't booked, we had to pay for them.
We ended up blocking at the Four Points Sheraton and got a shuttle for guests, which worked out great. A couple friends stayed at the Best Western and found some nasty "surprises" in their rooms.

We got married there in '09 and I believe what the other people are saying is correct. That being said, it was cheaper to get the AAA rate then the room block rate. Hope that helps.

We got married in 09 at Oheka, but blocked rooms there too, and we were responsible for the rooms that people didn't book. We used the Executive Inn too and they were super helpful and the shuttle service was free. We had to pay for the FH one.

I have a block of 10 at the Inn. You're responsible for 60% of the room block, so I have to pay for 6 rooms, regardless. HTH
