Past Sucessful IVF Patient and THINKING of Trying For Baby #2...Can You Ladies PLEASE Walk Me Through The Steps of a FET?
I have 4 embroyos frozen!
When I got pregnant last time (we did ICSI) I was on Lupron, then Menapur and Gonal F. We transfered two back and I had one perfect baby girl.
We are thinking of trying this coming summer. What's the process of a FET? How does monitoring work, what meds, etc? I need insight!
Thanks a bunch!

Re: Past Sucessful IVF Patient and THINKING of Trying For Baby #2...Can You Ladies PLEASE Walk Me Through The Steps of a FET?
I'm smack in the middle of a FET cycle. So far, this has been my experience.
Consult with the RE
A gazillion viles of blood taken.
I had to have a Water Sono so my RE could make sure I had no uterine scarring or anything abnormal after having DD.
I needed to take Provera prior to my water sono since I had not had a period since DD was born and I'm not nursing (she is 9 months old)
We also did Microarray testing on the embies we had left over (newest way to PGD, they test all 24 chromosomes)
BCP for 2 weeks Lupron and BCP for 5 days Stopped BCP - continued on Lupron
10 days after starting Lupron I went in for morning monitoring (blood/sono)
Started on low dose of Estrace that evening.
Back 4 days later for monitoring - RE upped my Estrace (continue on Lupron)
Back 3 days later for monitoring
Back 4 days later for monitoring
Another 4 days (today) for monitoring
My lining right now has actually stalled thickening so I'm not sure how we are going to proceed, I'll know this afternoon.
If you see my other post, I was originally tentatively scheduled for transfer this Thursday, but it got pushed to next Tuesday. I have a feeling it's going to get pushed again because I'm not progressing.
Good luck!

For my medicated cycle I strated Vivelle (estrogen) patches on day 1, added progesterone when my lining was thick enough, and had a transfer 5 days after that.

Yup! And for my next cycle I hope to do it naturally where I just monitor for ovulation, go in once to confirm O, and then transfer 5 days later.
What RE do you see? I'm at RSNY, I think this is a pretty standard protocol for them, although some people might need to go on BCP's.

From what I remember I was just on estrace and then went in for monitoring, then progesterone and baby aspirin etc after.
It was SO easy.

I go 2x per week. They've had me coming in every 4 days... but I'm not progressing, so they may have me coming in more often than the norm for a FET.

Umm I want to say it was like day 3 and like maybe 3 or 4 to check lining before the transfer.
