Re: path train
I can only answer two of your questions...the Path costs $1 (unless it was raised in the last year) and no, you can't use your metrocard for the Path (unless that was changed in the past year too).

Re: path train
Where do you need to go? Is it a 1.50 a ride. There is a Path station at 33rd street under the mall by Macy's.

Yes, actually, you now CAN use your Metrocard to get into the path- there are all new turnstyles.

Re: path train
Go to 33rd and broadway and go downstairs in the mall...you can't miss it. It's right by McDonalds. I need landmarks, that's why I figured I'd add my 2 cents

Re: path train
I take the path everyday-- and just to reiterate what everyone else says..
It's $1.50
You can use a pre-paid metro card-- not an unlimited one-- or you can just put money in the machine and pay at the turnstyle-- or get a round trip quick trip.
The train stops all along 6th Ave-- what I would do from 45th- is take the F train to 23rd, then get out and just walk down the stairs. I find this easier than navigating through the busy 34th street station- especially if you don't know where you are going.
