Patients of Dr's Oppenheimer/Bergman/Marchbein
I am switching to their practice and I was wondering a few things. What do you think of them/ their office/who do you see and when I do become pregnant, do they do all of the testing at the Woodbury office or will I have to go to Great Neck? I'm going to see Dr. Oppenheimer next week about TTC. Thanks for any info!

Re: Patients of Dr's Oppenheimer/Bergman/Marchbein
Melissa Oppenheim is my OB. She delivered both of my boys. I did see Bergman and Marchbein towards the end of my pg, but that was just to meet them in case I went into labor on my own and they were on call.
They're all excellent doctors. Bergman can be a *tad* full of himself, tho'. Especially when speaking of his "accomplishments".
All of my visits were at the Great Neck office, which is their main office (closer to NSUH-Manhasset). I'm not sure how well-equipped their Woodbury office is. They definitely have crappy hours at that office.
Anyhooo, she's fantastic!! Say hello for me!! I may be seeing her soon.
Edited b/c her name is Oppenheim. Oppenheimer is my boys' pediatrician!

For my annual!! We're still in negotiations re: #3. If/when it does happen, I won't wait 18 weeks to announce this time.

Re: Patients of Dr's Oppenheimer/Bergman/Marchbein
There practice is good. I just found out that they are merging with another practice ( but I don't know when it will be happening), They will still have the woodbury office so don't worry at all. I know this because a friend of mine will be giving birth with in this month sometime...
My doctor is Dr. Bergman. I had no complaints. I have met with Oppenheim on a few occasions and Marchbein too. Marchbein was actually my mohel for my son's bris. (love him)... Both Bergman and Marchbein were there for my birth..
All the testing ( blood work) was done at Quest and that includes the gestational diabetes test. Your first sonograms will be at Northshore and your 20 week sono is done in the office at night so you can bring anyone in on that one.
I think I went to most of my appointments at woodbury ( I live 2 seconds for that one) and I went to great neck 3 times- for my initial visit when I found out I was pregnant, 20 week sono, and one appointment in great neck ( I couldn't get one that week in Woodbury)..
any other info please be free to Fm me..
good luck

Re: Patients of Dr's Oppenheimer/Bergman/Marchbein
Thanks very much ladies! I am going this week, now I just have to write down my list of questions. I always feel like I can't remember what I want to ask while I'm there, so I'll make a list now. Thanks again.
