Patio Furniture-seating for 4 or 6?

Does your patio furniture have seating for 4 or 6? If you only have seating for 4, do you ever regret not getting a bigger table?

We are debating...the set I like has seating for 4, but I'm wondering if down the line we'll regret not getting the 6-seater. We do plan on having guests over during the summer, but its hard to say how many at one time.

We have seating for 6. And so do all of our friends. Except 1 couple who has seating for 8.

We had seating for 6 and upgraded to seating for 10 last year. We fill those chairs and then some!!! Chat Icon I also like having the extra table surface area when we don't have 10 guests.

Ours sits 8 people. I think that 4 is too small unless you plan on only having two other people over all the time.

Our table seats 8 and I wish it sat more but we have people over a lot during the summer.

Ours seats 6, but we could buy extra chairs to seat 8 and it would fit around the table.
More is definitely better in this case...otherwise you are scrambling to find seats when you have people over.

More is always better - we have a set for 6 and woll probably add two more chairs this Summer, if we can find the matching chairs.

We had a round table with 4 chairs (still have as an extra table) but that fellt very crowded.

I would go with 6 over 4

we have 10, and even when they are not full, the extra size on the table is great

We just got a set that seats 6 and already I'm thinking about if I'll need extra chairs. I wish we had 2 extra that matched, but we'll just use 2 other chairs we have. It will probably be pretty rare that we need that many.

DH and I just had this conversation on Fri - we liked the table that seated 4 better but, we opted for 6 because we wanted more space.

Also - the table for 4 we were looking at was higher so it would be difficult to pull extra chairs up to it if we needed to (since our extra chairs aren't high enough).

Re: Patio Furniture-seating for 4 or 6?

We bougth a set for 8. I would highly recommend if it is within your budget and if you have the room to get the most seating capacity as possible. I know that for us, we have more than one couple over at a time MOST of times and the extra seats are needed. If you intend to have a family one day and yout hink this set will last you for a while, you would want the extra seating for them too.

Ours sits 8, but we could fit 10. We have large familys. I would go for the 6, but that is JMO. You can never have too much seating room I think.

Re: Patio Furniture-seating for 4 or 6?

I think 4 is way too small, I would go at least 6. The table for 4 seems cramped when you have anything on it.
