Paul McCartney - a REALLY nice guy!!
i can't believe i forgot to post this!
DH works at JFK for US Customs. a friend of his (B) processed P.M. when he came into the US - i think back in february.
DH's friend was engaged to his fiance (R), who is a HUGE HUGE HUGE P.M. fan, and so B asked P.M. to sign an autograph for her, which P.M. did willingly.
then B asked if P.M. would be willing to do him another favor. P.M. said yes without hesitation.
B and R just got married at the end of July. just before their first dance, we were all instructed to turn to the TV screens on either side of the room. on the TVs is a video of P.M., recorded on B's cell phone at JFK, saying hi to R and wishing them a happy wedding day and marriage.
R of course was so shocked and happy. what a priceless memento of their wedding!
how nice was that?? it's so good to know that a celeb as big as P.M. would do something so kind.

I've heard so many nice stories about him.
He's very down to earth, he can chat with anyone.
He's never forgotten where he came from... just a firefighter's son from Liverpool
BTW: A co-worker of mine's DH worked customs at Kennedy for years... always checked in the celebs... boy, does he have stories

I met him and he was REALLY nice and I know others who have met him and have said the same - a really nice down to earth guy who is a beatle!

My parents met him out east once. They were stopped at a light and Paul McCartney was on a bike stopped at the light next to them. My father said...it's Paul McCartney!! He stuck his head in the window and said...Where?

Very cool!
I'm sure in the past few years he's been harassed so much in public about Heather Mills and the divorce that he was more than happy to sign a simple autograph and record a message!
