Paying two co-pays?
I had an appointment for a sonogram on Wednesday. They also made me make a follow-up appointment to discuss the sonogram. They charged me for two co-pays; One for the sono and one for speaking with the doctor. I've never had that happen before and was a bit surprised by it and felt like I should have said something. This is a different doctor than I normally go to. Is this normal?

Re: Paying two co-pays?
I've had to pay two copays when I've had bloodwork sent to a lab during a doctor's visit... one for the visit the other for the labwork fees. So I guess it is possible. Annoying, but possible!

Re: Paying two co-pays?
It is normal, it depends on the contract you have with the insurance carrier you have. HTH

Re: Paying two co-pays?
Thanks! I guess it's just strange to me, because my previous doctor would only charge me one co-pay for a situation like that.
