PCOS

I was told by my GYNO that I might have PCOS. THis week he told me my Progestrone test was fine and to take another one next month if not pregnant. If it isn't good then he will check me and maybe put me on Clomid. I was getting frustrated and confused since my DH and I have been tyring since June. Anyone else have this problem?

Re: PCOS

When did you have your progesterone tested ?

What cycle day ?

What level was it ?

If your progesterone level was fine, then you ovulated. Why would he suspect you of Pcos ?

Re: PCOS

He thinks I might have it because he looked at recent blood work I had done and noticed it. He thinks I might not be ovulating every month. I believe the # was 7.7 and it was on Day24.

Re: PCOS

Well, that means you definitely ovulated, with a level of 7.7 !!!! Anything over 5 is definite ovulation.

Now I am not sure where you were in your cycle , on cd24. If it was approximately 7 days past ovulation, than, 7.7 needs progesterone supplementation to help implantation. However, if it was more like 12 days past....then that seems like a pretty good level :)

Basically a progesterone level over 5, confirms Ovulation but , anything lower than 10 at 7 dpo, needs progesterone assistance.

Now if you chart, you will be able to detect ovulation....:)

Did he do a glucose, LH and a FSH test ?
