Ped. Cardiologist at Stony Brook
The ped. detected a murmur today, so I have to take Emma. Does anyone have a rec. for a particular one in the group?

Re: Ped. Cardiologist at Stony Brook
Sorry, I don't have any experience with a pediatric cardiologist. If you don't get any rec's, I can call my cardiologist and ask for pediatric referrals if you need.
ETA: My murmur was detected by my ped at 18 months, and that was WAY before technology exploded. Keep me posted on what they say.

Re: Ped. Cardiologist at Stony Brook
IDK if it helps but we used Dr. Rose from good Sam. She was very nice, and really good with Lance.

I will..I don't know much about murmurs. Is it something that really impacts your health?

Unless it's severe, absolutely not. I have had one my entire life and it doesn't affect anything.

We used the same. We went when DS was a month old!

I took Emma for her appt. today. They did an EKG, total trauma for her. I had to hold her down as she was screaming It turns out it's an innocent murmur, so nothing to worry about

That's fantastic! I'd imagine a child getting an EKG would be no fun, we've had to hold DD down for some testing too and it's been the worst!
Glad everything's good!
