Ped vent!
Alex has been running a low grade fever since last night and for the last week or so has been doing a lot of sneezing. I think it might be allegeries and/or cutting a tooth at the same time. I want to give him something to help make him comfortable but the ped isn't answering her office phone or questions line and the service says she is open today. Although her machine says she is closed due to a death in the family  Does anyone give their 2 year old children's benadryl or anything for allegeries? I feel so bad for my little man.

I've been giving DD benadryl for congestion since she was 6 months old.
I can check the dosage for you from my PED's baby book if you would like?
HOw much does he weigh?

I have given Maddie benedryl but it was for reactions to bug bites. I'm sorry I don't know how much. Do you know how much she weighs?

I gave my DD 1 tsp of Childrens Benadryl yesterday, she is 23 lbs. This was according to what my ped wrote in her book last time we went.

Two weeks ago Michael was suffering from horrible allergies. He is about 33lbs and I give him just about 1tsp of benadryl.

According to my PED"s Dosage chart..
12-23 months
18-23lbs
DOSAGE IS 1/2 TEASPOON every 4-6 hours
2-3 years
24-35lbs
DOSAGE IS 3/4 TEASPOON every 4-6 hours
If you give him the Allergy Chewables 12.5 mg/tab Grape
2-3 years is 3/4 tab
12-23 months is 1/2 tab
