Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine in Holbrook

Do any of you use Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine of Holbrook?

They are located at 270 Union Ave

I'm due in January and I'm looking for any recommendations on the above practice. Thanks!

We use them, and when I was little, I went to them.

We went for B's first visit and we were in and out.

My mom suggested I use them because she had never had a problem getting an appointment with them and they have good hours.

We used them.
Many doctors, so you really won't see the same ones every time you go.
Great hours and very easy to get appts though.

Right now we go to the Shirley one (we went to Holbrook before we moved) and I know am looking for another pediatrician, cause I do not like this office at all

We love them.

I chose them because they are around the corner from my house but it ended up being the best choice. Everyone is wonderful.

You can request a particular doctor when you make an appt, or you can choose a specific doctor (depending on who is there - there is a list on the wall of which doctors are on) each time you go , or you can take whoever is first available.

great! I think I'll call them then. I go some outside LIF rec's, but I wanted to check with you all first. Luckily I dont' mind seeing different doctors. I like their hours and its so close to the house.

We use them and have been very happy. Any time we had a problem with DD they got us in that day (even on a Sunday!). I request to see the same doctor each time, which so far has worked out great!

I've been going there only because Dr. Leiber used to be my doctor, but he's retired so I don't really know who to ask for. I'm not loving that she see's a different doctor every time.

Any recs for a good doctor within the practice??

all my 4 kids go there and have been for 12 yrs. I used to go to the PJ office. but now we live closer to holbrook. I like dr kleinberg he is a really nice guy and good at what he does. also there is a NP there named michelle and she is AMAZING! My 3 yo dd was very sick last year with some sort of fever virus that we couldnt get down and she called me from her home and gave me her home # just in case i had any problems during the night and couldnt get through fast enough to the on call DR. You can def. ask specifically for 1 doc and you will get them. I saw everyone just so i was familiar with them and then i picked who i liked best. HTH!

I left the practice because it is just too big. I never saw the same Dr and kept getting physicians assts. Damien was twice misdiagnosed which ended in hospital visits. I always felt rushed there. I used to use the Wading River office and loved it. So small and the same Dr's. But it was too far when we moved into our house.

We see either Dr. Freed or Dr. Welch (she is the NP mentioned in the above post)

Both are absolutely wonderful!!!!

I like it. I don't love it but I like it. I do however love Drs Kleinberg, Kronberg and Halegoua. When my infant son was rushed into the hospital and the doc at the ER was not going to release us until we did a spinal tap Dr. H called the doc and told her not to tap him because of many reasons, but the ER doc was going to make us stay and he said no way.

I was once impressed too that I called the emergency number because my daughter was sick and they called the next morning to check on her.

I will say watch them with co pays we have been billed several times for co pays that we paid and had canceled checks for.

We have been going there for 3 years. Here's my take on them. All the docs and NP's are great especially Dr. Kronberg, Dr. Haloega and NP McDowell. However, it is a zoo in there. I suggest you make the first appointment in the a.m. or the first one after the lunch break or you can be waiting forever. With that said, i have always been able to get in immediately for a sick visit and this includes sundays and calling at 7:00 at night. they are open 365 days a year and are regularly there during the week until at elast 8:30 p.m but usually later. The fact that I can always get an immediate sick appointment makes me understand why I wait for well visits.
