Pediatric Associates of Plainview
I'm thinking of switching to there and would love any feedback. Do you make an appt. with any Dr. or do you request one? And how long is the wait usually? I feel so guilty for leaving my current ped. but she's too far away.

I use them and LOVE them. Dr. Samuel is my fave but I have never had an issue with any of them. We have seen all of them except for the new doc. I usually try to make an appt with Dr. Samuel but I will see anyone else if he's not around.
I never have a problem making an appt or getting in ASAP if she is sick. Most of the time the wait is minimal, but a few times it has been long.

Same experience here, but we've only seen 3 of the docs. We've been going there almost a year. We have been there a lot lately with ear infections and stuff and they always get us in quick and the wait hasn't been long at all.
The longest wait we've had was when we went in the fall to one of the Saturday clinics they had to administer the H1N1 vaccines, but that was an abnormal thing.

I switched to them last Fall. I was very unhappy with my other PED.
So far only 1 time it was a mad house but it was in September with all kids back to school thing.
I have had no issues getting DS to come the same day I called for a sick visit
So far I like all the Dr.

I switched to them in November, and really haven't had an actual visit yet, except for the H1N1 shots. So no complaints yet!

I've been using them for the last 20 months and besides some long waits, I am very happy with them. They always get me in quickly for sick visits!

There must be 2 PAP's.... I go to the one on So. Oyster Bay Rd. and the drs. there are Rabinowitz, Kaden, and Nayor.... We love them!!!!!!

You're right. I don't know which the OP was asking about, but the Peds that I was referring to, and most of the other posters referred to is actually Pediatric Health Associates. They are located in Plainview as well.

A few of my friends used them and left them b/c they waited over 2 hours for sick visits. They are extremely busy. I am a fan of the smaller groups with more one on one. I have the same ped. each visit and he remembers everything that is going on in our family. It depends what your "taste" is.

I use Ped Assoc of Plainview and love them. I see Drs. Nayor and Kaden if at all possibel. Dr Rabinowitz joined the group later and I just never bonded with him like I did the others. My dd was a very difficult baby with lots of reflux issues ands they were always patient and helpful. I always say they saved both of us during a very difficult time!
