Is there such a thing and if so, does anyone have one to recommend?
TIA

Re: Pediatric Nutritionist?
YES, it does exist - we consulted with one when Alex was transitioning to solids and we decided to raise her as a vegetarian. I live in the philly burbs so I don't have a recommendation, but we got a few names from our pediatrician, and from just calling the local hospital and asking for some names

This is the issue I am having. I love my Ped & she has been very good to us, butshe is concerned with DS weight. DS has been in the 15 percentile since birth, as he was almost 3 weeks early. Last visit he was at 13, but he was very sick at the previous weigh and has also learned to stand, cruise and is awake more during the day. Meanwhile he is chunk, just not super-chunk. He looks completely healthy and there is no indication physically or developmentally that anything is wrong. Anyway, the Ped is recommending that we feed meat. No legumes, just meat. I am confused as to ehy no legumes if he has eaten soy with no issue. Anyway, I think I am coming to a point where the Dr is for illness and routine checks, and the Nutritionist will be for overall health & growth, KWIM?

No legumes? That's a little weird. I agree, the ped is for illness and development. To really center on growth and health I would consult with a nutritionist. We've never fed Alex ANY meat, though she does eat plenty of fish, eggs and cheese, and she has always been in the 80th percentile for height and weight, so I doubt just giving your DC meat will make THAT much of a difference
