Re: pediatric ophthalmologist

definitely Dr. Cossari in Pt Jeff. Though he may have a long wait time, he is one of the best out there!

he is one of the best, but his beside manner is depolarable and I would never subject my child to him again. I would go with Dr. Marmor

I used Dr. Cossari in Port Jeff. He was wonderful! Didn't have to to wait too long for an appointment. About 2-3 weeks. The only thing that bothered me was his staff. I did find them to be rude. I was forewarned about this ahead of time from several people also. I chose Dr. Cossari because my ped takes his kids there, and I trust my ped. I was very happy with Dr. Cossari himself.

Wow, I find this interesting as I've been using Dr. Cassari on my DD for over two years now. She has had two out patient procedures and I found him FINE---I will say he is dry and to the point but not what you experienced. I'd love to know more, feel free to FM me if you want.

i was also referred to this practice. my ped. recommended Dr. Marmor, but I couldn't get a nappointment with him. I am forgetting the name of the person I saw... (I only had to go once to see whether or not DD was going to inherit the turn in the eye that I had) and she was great.... sorry I am blanking on the name... overall though, I think you are good with anyone in this practice. they seem to be well-regarded. they have a location in planview (I went to that one) and one in port jefferson.

I know of an excellent one in Merrick, too, if you would want to travel. he saved my eyes and my brothers' as kids.

We use Dr. Roberts as well.

My DD just saw Dr Koty from this group, and I would totally recommend him. It really seems to be a great practice, very child friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

We went to Cossari for 2 years and agree with the dry comment above. We switched to Marmor's office(Dr.Levi) and she is absolutely WONDERFUL! So soft spoken and my kids love her! Also the wait at Cossari was ridiculous. LIPOS gets us in and out and the office is nice and clean and very child friendly...

Re: pediatric ophthalmologist

I thought Dr. Cossari was fine. He did DS's tear duct puncture procedure and was very good with him and with us too since we were nervous wrecks.
I plan on taking DC there for any other eye issues they may have.

DD sees Dr. Levi as well. We are very happy with the practice, and DD goes every month, so we know everyone already.
