Re: pediatric opthamologist needed
We use Dr. Roberts in Plainview. I am almost positive he has an office in Pt. Jefferson as well.
He's a great Dr. I switched my DD over to him after being unhappy with her prior dr (which the hospital recommended). We are much happier.

We were referred to Mr. Marmors (sp?) office on Plainview. He did not take our insurance either, but we saw Dr. Michelle Levi there.

This is probably far for you, but a great ped ophthalmologist is Dr. Kronwith in Mineola. He's fantastic.

DD has been going to Dr. Barry Pinchoff due to her tear ducts since about 3 months old. I can not say enough good things about him.

Re: pediatric opthamologist needed
I can't recommend an opthalmologist i am in queens, but my dd failed the screening for anisometropia at 15 months and 18 months-the screening is like 50% by the way. So at 18 months i took her to the ped opth and they did the test and she was below where he would recommend glasses and they just wanted to follow up with her again in 6 months to see if it gets worse or improves on it's own(I read a lot of the time it self corrects around 2-3)...so i will be going in a few weeks for the follow up.
