Pediatric Orthotic Recommendation Needed
Hi! DS just saw a physiatrist who has recommended that he be fitted for orthotics. (Not the insert for the shoe, but rather a brace like device for his ankles). I saw Dr. Semel based on a recommendation from here...she was FABULOUS! but her referrals were a bit far from me. I am in the Huntington area. Can anyone recommend one? I will travel if I have to, but would prefer under an hour if it's somewhere we need to go frequently for fittings, etc.
THANK YOU!

Re: Pediatric Orthotic Recommendation Needed
Call your ins company they will give you a list of names. I used EastCoast Orthotics in Deer Park. They were ok. I prefer Rob at Northshore but he doesn't take my insurance. That's who Dr. Semel usually recommends. My DD wore bilateral AFOs, then SMOs now just an insert in her shoe.

I really like Mike Quigg at Advantage Orthotocs in Northport. My DS's OT highly recommended him.
