Pediatric Urologist
DH and I found out today we are having a and are very excited!
I don't want to make this a long winded post, but I was just wondering if anyone could offer a recommendation for a Pediatric Urologist. We don't want to have the circumcision done in the hospital and would rather pay out of pocket for a pediatric urologist to perform the procedure.
TIA!

Re: Pediatric Urologist
Dr Palmer is probably the nicest doctor I have ever met. I felt like he really took the time to explain things and to calm me down. He was great!

Re: Pediatric Urologist
I agree, had to take my son to him twice (for different issues) and he was so nice. We also saw Dr. Brock and he was also very nice and took the time to explain everything. Even called our pediatrician to explain his findings.

Re: Pediatric Urologist
I never thought of doing that. If we have another boy I may look into this being the dr. screwed up DS's circumcision and he will most likely have to have it redone.
ETA: If you have it done by a urologist rather than the OB at the hospital, when do they do this...a couple days after coming home from the hospital? Do they just use a local anesthetic?

I'm in Western Suffolk but have no problem traveling for this!
My nephew had it done in the hospital and when he was 9 months old he wound up having it redone.
Apparently some high stat like 1-4 circumcisions done in the hospital are done incorrectly and need to be redone.
DH and I would love to avoid this!
Thanks for the help girls, I knew you guys would be able help!

Re: Pediatric Urologist
I agree they are wonderful. Since you are in Suffolk, they do have a Port Jefferson office, although I am not sure which doctors go there. Their website is http://www.pedsurology.com/ Not sure if I linked that right, but that is one great practice!
