Pediatrican/Day care Wantagh area
Hi Everyone. Just moved into the Wantagh area from Queens and am in need of a good pediatrican as well as a daycare that accepts infants 6wks and up.

Welcome to Nassau! 
You I don't know if you are more north or south but Seaford Pediatrics is my pediatrician. They are on Merrick Rd in Seaford.
As for daycare - there is Teacher's Pets in Wantagh which I've heard good things about, but it may be hard to get in to.

I am a Wantagh resident. Welcome to the neighborhood! I also use Seaford Peds and love them. But I don't use a daycare so I have no recommendations. Best of luck in your new home.

There is a daycare right next to the Bellmore train station. I forget the name of it.
We go to Drs. Oppenheimer, Marchitelli, Fasano & Korn on Newbridge Rd in Bellmore. 781-9898
ETA: Welcome to Wantagh! You should check out the library, they have some mommy & me programs.

Welcome to the area!
I also use Seaford Peds and LOVE, but I'm pretty sure the only way to get into the practice to have a newborn. At least thats what I was told.
My friend uses Dr Oppenheimer and loves that entire practice!

How old is you DC there are a decent number of day care & pre schools in the area.
Teachers Pet in Bellmore

Rainbow Child Care in Bellmore
Toddler Time in Hicksville
Maplewood
South Shore Country Day
not all of the above care for infants
There are also a number of licensed home base care providers in the area

My SIL lives in bellmore, and she uses Seaford Pediatrics also. She LOVES them!
As for nursery schools, my neice went to Maplewood for a few months last year. It was a horrible experience. My SIL would walk in to pick her up to find ants taking over the childrens bathrooms, teachers all sitting around a table with their hot coffee talking away while the kids had complete control of the room, the director was very stand offish and seemed to not know any of the families enrolled in his school. There was no locked gate, no bell...anyone could get into the school anytime they wanted to, no questions asked!
Needless to say, my neice was pulled from there after 3 months. She now attends Twin Oaks Country Day School and my SIL is thrilled! I will have to ask her how young they accept children, my neice is 3 and a half.
