Pediatrician in Huntington Area?
Hi ladies- do you have any recommendations for a ped. around Huntington. I actually live in the village so that would be ideal. TIA

I prefer Dr. Cavanagh/Huntington Medical Grop (Pulaski Road).
Cohen, Caravella are right by Town Hall but I wasn't fond of them so I switched. I know people that do like them, but I found them condescending re: vaccine questions.

I used North Shore Group on 25A. Dr. Tomei, Dr. Yland or Conrad.
Tomei and Yland are flexible with vaccines if case you're interested.

Same. Everyone I've ever recommended them to has chosen them as their peds.
I think we've seen every doc now (sick visits) and I'm comfortable with all of them.

i use them too-mostly Tomie and Conrad. i love them-conrad has ben very flexible with my DS's vaccinations too.

Dr. Conrad.
Dr. Conrad was excellent. We had to switch because of insurance but I recommend her as well.

dr. kurfist and dr. lefenfeld on main street in huntington. they are great! they also added a 3rd doctor to their practice.

We go here. The doctors are great as well as the front desk, billing people and nurses. All such wonderful people. They came highly recommended. We see Dr. Kurfist most of the time wonderful, intelligent, patient man.

I am actually in the process of looking as well - anyone else have experience with Cohen/Caravella? I actually saw Cohen as a child, so I assume he won't be there much longer - but what about Caravella?

I knew he was awesome, but this is where he had me at hello  :
At Cailen's 1st visit - we had Dr. Sidiqui (also great) - Dr. Cavanagh wasn't there the day I had to go for my OB visit.
So his 2nd visit was with Dr. Cavanagh - who is our primary ped. He asked me howe everything was going, and how I was.
I rattled off his eating schedule, his sleeping schedule, everything about my little baby.
He asked, "No.... How are YOU doing? Are you taking care of YOURself?"  I'm not sure if he asks that to every new mom, or to ones who looked sleep deprived and half insane But whatever the reason, he was the 1st one to ask me in about 4 weeks how I was.
That's the kind of doctor he is!

K - just called Dr. Tomei - they only do consultations at 8:00 am? Anyone else not able to consult with them at that time? My hubby and I both work...but I've heard great things...hmm...
