Pediatrician recommendations please (Preferably Nassau)
I have started searching for a pediatrician. I am 34 weeks. I kinda like the doctors I have interviewed so far, but really want to make sure to get the right person. I live in Garden City area, so I am close to Franklin Square, New Hyde Park, Great Neck, Lake Success, Floral Park, Mineola, etc. But I am definitely willing to travel for the right doctor. And recommendations?

I'm very happy with ours - Dr. Fred Barash in Manhasset. He's a sole practitioner and knows DS like the back of his hand. I also love that he is old school in his vaccination schedule - we saw him 1x / month for the first year so that DS never got more than 2 shots at a time, which is very important to me. However, he will NOT change his schedule of shots (MMR at 12 mos, chicken pox at 13 mos, etc) so if you're looking for someone lenient in their views, he wouldn't be for you.

I met with 2 groups and Ijust have to decide. There is Village Pediatrics on Franklin Ave in Garden City and Nassau Pediatrics on Dogwood Ave in Franklin Square I was happy with them both and know people who use both groups.......Good Luck

I've heard good things about Nassau Pediatrics in Franklin Square. I know several people who use them and only have good things to say.

Dr Accetta in Garden City. He has been there through all our sicknesses and when she has been in the hospital he has visited every day.

I use prohealth pediatrics in Lake success, very good group. I switched from another group in Bayside and I'm very happy now!
