Pelvic Rest update

I had my regular doc app't yesterday -- 2 weeks after spotting, being diagnosed with placenta previa, and being put on short term bed rest and longer term pelvic rest.

We were hoping to find out that pelvic rest would end soon, but the doc says I'm on it until the placenta moves (hopefully 28 weeks, but maybe not ever). That means no exercise other than swimming and walking (and no BDing). DH has been great about this and I know I shouldn't complain (so many people have much much worse complications and sacrifices), but I'm bummed Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon .

Re: Pelvic Rest update

I have been on pelvic rest (even though the doctor didnt call it that) because of placenta previa so no lifting over 25 lbs or BDing for me either and I found out at the ultrascreen. I am praying that the Level II shows it is gone or at least showing signs of being a little better. Many hugs and prayers.

Ahhhh its not so bad....Ive been on Pelvic Rest since the beginning b/c they can never seem to figure out exactly what is wrong with me..I just tend to go into Labor early...

DH knew this going in as did I but its hard...not so much the "ACT" itself but the loss of intimacy stinks

Re: Pelvic Rest update

About the intimacy issue -- this is key. And we really work on it. Just cuddling and reading about the baby in bed together, kissing etc. Every morning DH gives me and the bump a million kisses before he leaves for work -- I hate to play into the stereotype of women wanting cuddling and kissing more than the "act" -- but this really is just as good for me.
