Penn Station - Delays to train derailment
For those of you that are unaware...
LIRR Penn Station Customers
Due to a New Jersey Transit derailment in Penn Station, LIRR service for the PM Rush Hour will be affected. Since we will be limited to using 6 of the 9 regular station tracks, there will be train cancellations and customers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes. Customers should consider using the LIRR's Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn. Please listen for track assignments at Penn Station and monitor our website for Service Updates.

Also just a note - if you are traveling with your family...please be quiet for the rest of the commuters.

I got out fairly ok. My regular train was cancelled and combined and ran local all the way home, but it WENT...thats all I cared about!
