No. They don't even know who the shooter is. Or if the victims were targeted or random.
They only thing being mentioned is it may have been over a coat!

Teen in Custody in Bryant Park Ice Rink Shooting That Injured 2
A 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting at the ice rink in Bryant Park late Saturday that left a 14-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man injured, law enforcement sources said.
Emergency crews responded to reports of shots fired at the Midtown Manhattan park just after 11 p.m. and found one of the victims shot in the torso and the other shot in one of his legs. They were both rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
"People just fell on the floor because they heard a gunshot and they had ice skating skates on so they couldn't run," said Raghuram Krishnamachar, 29, of Brooklyn, who was eating dinner with his girlfriend and her family at the park's second-floor restaurant Celsius. Their table was next to a window overlooking the rink.
"People were scared they didn't know what was going on," he said.
Police said early Sunday they had no one in custody. (Megan Cutcher)
Krishnamachar said he heard three shots ring out and saw skaters down below scramble for safety, while one person lay immobile on the rink. He said restaurant patrons were told to lie on the floor and eventually were ushered to a back room.
"We didn't know anything. The shooter could've been a lunatic with a machine gun," he said.
Charges are pending against the teen in custody, sources said. Police believe an argument with one of the victims may have sparked the shooting.
The park, located in a bustling section of Manhattan between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and near the New York Public Library, is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
The ice skating rink is open until midnight on the weekends. The park also features green space, restaurants and tables and chairs for public use.
Joe Carella, a spokesman for Bryant Park Corporation, the not-for-profit company that privately manages the park, said the park is virtually crime free.
A representative for Upsilon Ventures, the company that produces the Winter Village at Bryant Park, couldn't be reached.
Sounds like just another punk trying to make a name for himself on the streets. Scary!

This is disgusting. Every single day I read these stories, the blatant disregard for human life astounds me. While I do agree that there needs to be gun law reforms, being this punk shot into a crowded skating rink over a coat, he most likely did not obtain his gun legally.

While I have mixed feeling about the stop and frisk bc I do believe it violates constitutional rights, it was definitely stopping crime and getting guns off the street. It's not going to get any better in NYC!

Exactly. A family member just said this. NYC is going to go back in the shitter.
I'm disgusted by this story. You can't even go ice skating with your family, the movies, the mall, school, etc. without worry that a crazed lunatic is going to shoot the place up.

Yup.
No more stop and frisk, cops leaving in droves because of the shittty working conditions of the NYPD and shittyy pay, inability to recruit new cops because they are making the pay and the pension and the benefits even WORSE.
NYC will soon be back to the shithole it was in the 70s
