People Who invite themselves...
What do you do when you get tell someone you are going somewhere & they pretty much invite themselves? How do you say no I'd rather do this without you & your kid??
My son goes to the same school as her daughter & I have been picking up her daughter all week. She says she needs me to do it next week as well. I have intentions to go outlet shopping after school on Monday. She says that sounds great can we squeeze in with you??

Re: People Who invite themselves...
Can you say something like, "maybe next time, I am on a tight schedule."
I would probably lie. Maybe I am bad, but a little white lie like you decided to postpone it, if she wouldn't know the difference would probably be what I would do.

Ugh yes. Co-worker used to do that all of the time. Now that I've dropped it down to a "Hi, how are you?" friendship, it's been much easier.

The thing is I will be minding her daughter till she comes home. And this is the same woman who constantly cries poverty to me.

C'mon Tracy, maybe she doesn't have spare money to shop, but she is rich in your company
