People who will need medical supplies (ie. GD), please read

I had an awful experience with this company..shame because they are local but wanted to share...they are called Better Living Now

This company is disgusting! My dr.'s office told me this was the only place I could call for diabetic supplies as I am a gestational diabetic. I called and was told I was getting one type of monitor on Saturday..called Monday to confirm and it was a different monitor (fine) and that my monitor would arrive Tues., as I needed it for an appointment. Well, I was told I had a balance..I OFFERED TO PAY THE BALANCE RIGHT THEN and the rep. told me not to until I received the goods. Tues. is the day of my appointment and nothing arrives. I called and they tell me..wait for it...I HAVE A BALANCE! I was livid and had to wait ANOTHER day for the supplies..when I called Wednesday...you guessed it..tried pushing me to Thursday and I was not having it...

Now everything comes Wed. and the strips in my monitor are expired...by almost a year! The machine was manufactured almost 3 years ago-side note-these machines are constantly updated..what dusty corner did they dig it out of? I call and they don't care.

Now I decide to call my insurance because the strips/machine are very difficult compared to the one in the dr. office. My insurance informs me I should not have been charged ANYTHING! I also discover I have the wrong size lancets for the machine I have...seriously?!? Luckily, I had just enough testers to get me to the next day. They said I would get a new machine the next day and a new lancet thing...well..I got the lancet thing yesterday..no new monitor..new monitor comes later that night..well..2 come..OPEN AND WITH ALL SAMPLES REMOVED AND THEY ARE OLD AGAIN! I called my insurance and they tried talking with this company and the company argued with them to the point where the insurance company hung up..and when the woman said, "I won't charge you for the new lancet machine," I said, "I wasn't paying anyway..it was YOUR error!"

My insurance company called later and said they are definitely committing some insurance fraud and we filed a complaint with the insurance company. Next comes the Joint Commission and the BBB...also, there's a little thing called the NYS Diabetes Care Act and they are "out of compliance" according to my insurance company..they also said they have never dealt with a company like this...STAY AWAY!

I asked for another script for the test strips and went with a GHI preferred..what a difference! Luckily, my dad and FIL are type 2 (not really, but you know what I mean) so I have enough lancets...

I responded in your other post.

I just used them for my breast pump and had a wonderful experience with them.
I called them they called my insurance they called me back telling me it was being shipped shipped the same day.
Who did you deal with over there do you remember?

ugh. so sorry.
i was planning on using them for formula delivery . my insurance covers it and the guy i was dealing with said he was going to look into it. im bfing now but now if i do decide to do it im afraid ill have problems like you did .

I originally ordered my pump from yummy mummy and for over a month my order was pending - my c.s date was coming up and they never answered the phone. so when i called bln i was thrilled with how speedy it was.
