people who've been to disneyworld.
how much would you say you'd need for two people for about 4 full days?

Re: people who've been to disneyworld.
Are you talking spending money or TOTAL? We've done a 8 day trip with 2 people for less than $1500, and a 7 day trip for $5k, it just depends on where you stay..a value or a deluxe. I think 4 days is most definitely doable for less than $1k if you plan right. I think Disney is one of the most affordable vacations out there for what you get.
www.mousesavers.com www.disboards.com
both sites are awesome for planning WDW vacations.

I would say about $1,000 also. But that also depends on where you eat and how much you drink!

Re: people who've been to disneyworld.
www.allearsnet.comhas all the menus for all of the restaurants so you can sort of price things on based on where you want to eat. Counter service meals will run about $10 each with a drink. Table service, a lot more.

Re: people who've been to disneyworld.
two people for four days sounds great, we were 5 people for 2 weeks
It really depends on what you plan to do in the evenings in addition to spending money at the parks.

oh gosh im sorry guys, i meant spending money. (daily things, eating, drinking, etc)

the park itself is like 60 to 70 bucks a day, depending on what kind of ticket you get.
Food-- again, depends on what you want to eat.. eating in the parks are not that cheap, although there are a lot of options. Also, the hotels (at least the one we stayed at, and other hotels we were in) had comprehensive food items sold in the gift shops-- so you can buy bread and make your own sandwiches to take to the park, etc. I said to DH when we go back with kids, we are totally doing that cause it can save a lot of $$ and the food in the parks is crap (healthy-wise).
For breakfast, just grab a bagel or something in your hotel-- going out to eat is a waste of money IMO... Most of them are price fixed and are at least 15 bucks a person.
Dinners... we went to pricier places for dinners... I would say though, you can spend anywhere from $80 to $400+ depending on where you go, and how much you drink.
Also, cabs to the restaurants within Disnery from your hotel are very expensive as well. During the day, you take the bus to get from park to park from your hotel-- but, at night, they come less frequently and when you are dressed for dinner-- waiting for a bus was not up my alley.
So, all in all... without the dinners, I would say a conservative estimate PER PERSON, including park tickets, about $90 to $120.
Spending money-- I would plan to spend around $500.. things are expensive, but, depending on what you liek, or how many gifts you want to buy, it all looks the same after a while. We didn't spend too much.

I just came back from Disney. The food there is very expensive! I would also suggest close to $1000.

An arm, a leg, a kidney for Mickey to take, a pancreas for Goofy...
eta: you don't need a car in Disneyworld, that is just another way for Mickey and his friends to get in your pocket. We took a cab to and from the airport. The rest of the time I utilized the Disney bus system.

Re: people who've been to disneyworld.
We bought the meal plan, since we were staying at a Disney hotel, and I would definitely do it again if I planned to spend most of my time in the park. So since room, transportation and meals were paid for in advance, I don't think we spent more than a few hundred while we were there (on souveniers, extra drinks, and film.)
I didn't want the hassle of carting food around with me at the park and with the meal plan, we didn't have to carry a lot of cash around either.

ITA! you can probably save some money by not renting a car... especially if you're staying at a disney hotel. you can get a cab to and from the airport, and just use disney buses, monorail, etc while you're there. it'll save money renting the car AND on parking
