People who've said you're definitely having a boy or girl...
My DH and I don't know what we're having, we want the extra surprise so a lot of people of course are letting us know what they think. I'm really surprised that pretty much everyone has said girl. I asked why and here were some of the things they said
- your face changed - your arms are bigger - your hips are bigger - from the sono pictures it looks like a girl
Do you believe in the wise tails they say about carrying a certain gender?
It's true I did change, my nose got wider and I did put on some weight all around but I don't think that really means anything.

Even though I haven't given brith, we have seen our boys 'parts' clearly enough, numerous times on a sono. And my MIL was convinced it was a girl because my face changed.

To be honest with you I carried the same with all my kids..boys or girls. My skin is breaking out just like it did with all the kids...the only thing different is that I have a lot more food aversions this time around with the boy than I did with the girl.

Re: People who've said you're definitely having a boy or girl...
I would really like to prove my mom wrong who thinks it's 100% a girl but at the same time I feel bad saying that because if it is a girl. I don't care what it is as long as it's healthy.
My mom all my life has been like she's always right, if you don't do it her way it's wrong etc...She's actually buying girl things and saying your daughter when she talks about the baby. It kind of bothers me because what if its a boy? So in a way I kind of want her to be wrong.

Everyone was insisting we were having a - to the point that when the tech told us it was a we stood there in shock. i honestly had major doubts until i had another sono and then another...now after about 5 sonos i have enough confirmation that it is indeed a boy!!

my sister had all the telltale signs of having a boy - carried "out" rather than "high", all-belly, no face change, blah blah blah.
she had a girl... FOUR TIMES!! I am carrying the same way, and my little one is definitely a boy...

I agree. We aren't finding out the sex either and personally, I don't want to hear the critique of how my body has changed.

I know! It's like you hear look at her face like you're not even there and right after you hear girls usually take the beauty away from the mother. "oh you are so having a girl" - thanks a lot
My shower is coming up soon and I'm going to hate hearing how I've changed and turn around and all that stuff.

Re: People who've said you're definitely having a boy or girl...
I don't believe the wives tales, though they're sort of fun to run through. Depending upon which ones you believe, I could be having a girl (I crave sweet things) or a boy (not terrible MS, my face hasn't changed, I'm carrying high, etc.). Who knows?
The technician told us at our last sono, though she didn't get a very good look, and we couldn't see anything at all, nor could the doctor. She's probably right, but unless we get definite confirmation before my shower, I'm sticking with gender neutral things.
My intuition has been telling me for awhile, even before the last sono. Somehow, I just think of this child as a boy, and I can't picture us bringing home a litlle girl, but I could be wrong!

Re: People who've said you're definitely having a boy or girl...
I'm having a girl and I haven't changed at all. I haven't gained weight anywhere else but my belly at this point. I have been going to the gym though. But my face has stayed the same and my skin is pretty much the same. No swelling, except in my hands when it's hot.
ETA So, no I don't believe in the wives tales because according to that I'm having a boy.
