Peoples comments are so annoying
Sorry to vent but I am just so tired of hearing from people how things were when they had their kids. Most of the comments come from people that have kids in their teens already, of course things have changed from 13-19 years ago. Look how technology changes each day around us.
I no longer have any nice replies, I simply say "good for you" with a smirk and walk away.

Oh I am so with you! I hear it from aeveryone including people my parents age. I understand things are different, but that doesn't necessarily mean better, it was when they try and convince me of that I get annoyed.

OMG, I totally agree. This one woman at work kept talking to me about when she was pregnant. Meanwhile, her youngest is in high school! She said things like, my dr. told me you're not supposed to go swimming, and then after I found out the sex of our baby, she said, well you know those things aren't 100%. The only thing that is is an amnio. SHUT UP WITH YOUR COMMENTS!

 I know it's hard, but ignoring and moving on is the only advice I can give.
My personal fave is when my SIL compares everything to her.
Oh, when I was pregnant, it was the hottest summer in 5 years, and it hasn't been that hot since.
When we commented on hoe HUGE one girl's belly was, she has to say that she was bigger.....she wasn't.
Oh, I had the worst pregnancy...... .
Yeah I know, I had to suffer through it too......
I guess my point is that eeryone has to say SOMETHING at all times, especially if they have been there. Same with weddings....

I totally agree, I just yes them and go on my merry way. My mom and my aunts, etc always push me to do things that they did when they had babies (now you are talking about quite a long time ago...things have certainly changed since then). I go on my merry way and do things MY WAY!!
It will definitely get worse once you have the baby!!!

I actually think this is MORE annoying then when people who have had children make comments. You just want to say "how can you give advice when you've never gone through this?!"

I agree...some woman actually said to me "there are just so many rules now" (like not eating soft cheeses or getting tested for GD)....UM rules?? More like precautions to have healthier babies!!!
