Long Island Paneling has very competitive prices & they will usually beat other prices. Great selection too. If you are willing to order online, try lumber liquadators.com

Re: pergo floor.......
we got ours from carpet time in farmingdale, its not pergo , Im not sure of the brand, it cost us more to have it installed than what the flooring itself cost! and the padding was expensive too.

LI Paneling was great when we went there... They let us take so many pieces home to look at them at the house... It was great...

Re: pergo floor.......
Try www.lumberliquidators.com -- you can order it online or they have some stores around different areas.
They use this vendor on a lot of the home shows, I bought flooring from them 6 months ago and the pricing was right and everything came in on time.

I've heard the same thing from 2 different contractors - wilson art is much better than pergo.

Re: pergo floor.......
Westhollow Vise-Loc Laminate
This is what I ordered. Its WestHollow Laminate. I got it in the Eden Maple which actually looks a lot darker than it shows on the website.
I bought this brand because the planks are very narrow (only 5 inches wide). And it will give you the look of hardwood, without spending a fortune. It will show the grooves between each plank. Very cool look IMO!

That's really cool! We should look into this since I don't like how you can tell that pergo or other laminate floors aren't hardwood. I wanted to refinish our hardwood (it's under carpet now) but the floor boards don't all meet the wall for some stupid reason and with the baby it's hard to not have access to part of the house. The way our house is laid out it's a really high traffic area that I want to do.
ETA: DJPill, are you installing it yourself, or are you hiring someone? If you are doing it yourself, have you done it before? How hard is it?

Re: pergo floor.......
My MIL has installed laminate herself so she is going to help us out.
This installs the same way regular laminate does... locking together. These planks are thicker... and narrower than normal laminate planks. And you can supposedly see the grooves between the planks.
