1 -Sense of Humor and a friend that understood that I need to laugh about the situation or I'd cry. DH couldn't joke about it at all -- and it was hard for him to hear me joke about what was going on with me when he was so worried.
2 - Take as much charge of the situation as possible. I researched everything so I could pretend that I could actually handle the situation if the outcome was bad.
3 - Denial - only worked sporadically.

I have to say I shut everyone out for a bit - and do what I have to do JUST to get by. There are times I was on anti - anxiety meds for awhile. Sometimes therapy worked too - family helped a little, but the stress usually came from them. DH - I just don't think he knows how to console - so I was and am on my own half the time.

i just stayed to myself and cried it out and thought about the good to come and prayed and talked to my mom about it which she helps guide me through at times

I always think as bad as I may have it there is someone out there who has it ten fold...My heart goes out to them...I dwell on the postives not the negatives, knowing there is ALWAYS a light at the end of that tunnel!
