Permit for new deck in Town of Huntington
Do you definitely need a permit for a new deck in the Town of Huntington?
Contractor is telling a family member that it is not needed. they already started building.

I believe it depends on the height. If you Google topic, it will come up

If its a certain height from the ground then yes. The Town website had the specifications/requirements. If you cant find it just call.

You need it!
We had an exisiting deck when we bought the house & all my DH was doing was changing the stairs from the side to the middle, removing and replacing the boards & they made us get one.
