Personal question about nursing
In all the books I've read and the class, it has never been mentioned if after each nursing session the boobs should be washed or what to do to keep them clean inbetween showers. Actually I've read not to even use soap in the shower because babies may not like it. Also that some Moms put their milk on the nipple after each session to help with soreness. So I'm guessing using a baby wipe would be too harsh. I want to keep clean, so what do you do?

I would use a sensitive baby wipe or wet wash clothe.

I didn't really wash inbetween when BFing but I didn when pumping. If needed, I used a washcloth with warm water or sterile saline wipes. When sore, I used the Lasinoh ointment. Never used milk.

I used just warm water.
Fore soreness I used the Lansinoh and took 2 tylenol about a half hour before each nursing session

I used a warm wash cloth after the feedings in the beginning. For soreness I used lanolin cream. Also tea bags help. good luck

Warm water. Lansinoh or as suggested by a Lactacion Lady, Olive Oil helps with soreness as well

I will sometimes use a warm washcloth. For soreness, I had a prescription cream. Lansinoh sometimes helped.
