Personal Trainer certification
A friend of mine is very interested in being a personal trainer. I have always thought about it as well because I have always been into health, nutrition and fitness. Anybody know what the best certification to get is?

Re: Personal Trainer certification
I used to be ACE certified. I certainly considered it the best at the time but I do not know if time has changed that. I was certified for a few years and then I let it lapse. I am no longer fitness trainer material but have I retained a lot of information that I learned and I am glad I took the ACE exam and the continuing ed. I enjoyed their online materials, too.

Re: Personal Trainer certification
The best is ACSM, but it's also the hardest to get. NASM is really good too, and ACE as well. I've heard ACE is easier to pass and is widely accepted. That being said, it's not "easy", just not as intense as some others. I would recommend going with ACE, NASM or NSCA.

ITA. ACE is fairly "easy" (if you study, have concept of ergonomic, proper form and know your muscles, anatomy) and widely accepted. The other too are MUCH more in depth aka "harder".
