Pet loss

I lost my precious Maltese of 15 years last week and am having a super hard time with it. I cry constantly, cannot seem to function. I want nothing to do with the holidays. She was my best friend, my companion and I love her so much. If any of you have gone through this, please help.

Cindy I just lost my beloved Ebony a little over 2 weeks ago. It was devastating for both of us (DH and me), but especially for me -- we had been through so so much together.

I know how you feel. You must let yourself grieve and cry and think about your pup and at some point when you think about him you will smile when you cry... and sometimes you will just smile....sometimes you will just cry...but eventually it gets a little easier. You have to let your emotions have their time.

We are not into the holidays this year at all. No tree, no decorations - and I usually go all-out. We just got a new puppy because I needed that, and he is helping us through this hard time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how I would get through it. Please let us know if we can do anything for you

I am so sorry for your loss - Just let your emotions work through, you shouldn't try to ignore them.

Aww I am so sorry I have been there too. I still dream of my best friend Pepper that I had for 16 years as a kid...it feels so real that I wake up sad Just know that your baby is at peace now and smiling down at you She will visit you in your dreams!!!!

When I lost my Reggie I was devasted. He was my baby.

Your beautiful dog is waiting for you by the Rainbow Bridge.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth.
So, each day they run and play until the day comes when, one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace,
Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated
