Pet sitter - reccos on Roseannes Pampered Pets? Or others?
We live in St. James and are looking for pet sitters for a Thursday to Tuesday vacation, 3x a day. I got a business card for Roseanne's Pampered Pets but like to work on reccos rather than an advertisement. Anyone ever heard of, or used her? On the bright side, she works in my Vet's office. We're meeting her tonight.
Barring that, any good reccos for someone you've used personally for in-home pet sitting? We were going to board at Cozy Noses but I'd rather he get an hour and a half of one-on-one attention at our home than a boarding facility, if we can swing it.
Thanks!!

No recs but both pet sitters we've had were techs from our vets' offices and it worked out well.
It was actually a life saver when we were away and one of our dogs had become very ill - she made the right decisions on our behalf whereas who knows what someone without her background would have done.
If I were to mention this to DH, he'd want to watch Brinkley while you are away so Maddie would have a full time playmate!! I'm thinking she already has a few too many boyfriends at day camp!
ETA: Is Brinkley okay being left alone? Will he be lonely? I think we always had at least two dogs when we had someone coming to the house. And when it was just Bailey he went to my BIL's or was boarded.

Thanks for responding Wendy! We met her last night and feel very good about it. I remembered her from the office, but didn't realize it was the same person. So we hired her! I know what you mean, it's a nice thing that she works at our actual vet's office. And he loves her, and vice versa. When people actually let him lick their faces, that says a lot to me about their comfort level with him.
He will be lonely without us but she'll be giving him an hour and a half a day as opposed to the half hour you get at Cozy Noses. Being around other dogs without being able to play with them actually makes Brinkley anxious and whiny. So I think this will be better than our other options.
Two of our neighbors will be keeping an eye on the house too, so we'll have backups there!
It will only be three full days and two half days, so I think he'll be fine. I, on the other hand, will probably be calling Roseanne daily.

The first time we went to Disney and had the first sitter come, we called her everyday and I think after a few days she wanted to stop answering the phone when she saw our number!!
