Peter Luger's
I know this really doesn't have anything to do with parenting but figured I would check here first to see if any of you parents have ever ate a Peter Luger's Steak house? Dh and I were planning on making reservations there for our annivarsary that was 3yrs yesterday If anyone has ate there or know anyone that has we'll take any opinions.
TIA

Yup, it was very good. You should know they only take their house charge or cash, no credit cards. Or at least when I went a while ago.

Re: Peter Luger's
Which one ... Great Neck or Brooklyn?
I've eaten at the GN one numerous times and LOVE it there. It's my favorite steak by far (they're known for their porterhouse). DH and I have also gone there for burgers and they're awesome as well! The one in Brooklyn is supposed to be even better, so I guess you can't really go wrong.
ETA: Happy Anniversary!

Re: Peter Luger's
my mil just went there and didn't like it. she said they were rushed through their meal. and her husband agreed, even though he's known to rush himself. so if he says it was rushed, it's crazy rushed. they said the food was okay, but waaayoverpriced. i'm sticking with ruth chris. we actually went to ther ruth chris in tarrytown (or a town near there, cant remember) and it's located in a hotel. we had a romantic getaway.
sorry no capital letters, holding ds.

Re: Peter Luger's
Great Neck Location- Rather small...very tight parking with valet service. Food was great but the prices were insane. We had a steak for 2, creamed spinach(extra), and 2 drinks...OH and the most fabulous ice cream sundae EVER!!!!!!!! The bill was over 150... Ive been to better restaurants and have spent less. When we left I was ****** that we didnt just go to Manhattan walk around and grab a bite! It was good just not Wonderful!just wanted to add...seating is tight as well...Dh and i sat with people on both sides of us practically in our lap!

Re: Peter Luger's
We were planning on going to the one in Great Neck, we have heard that it can be pricey however usually we eat a Pacer's Steak House for B-days or anniversary's and they can be expensive also. We just wanted to try something diff. But I'll have to tell dh all of the feed back I have gotten from you wonderful ladies and let him decide because he's the picky one. I wish we would of been able to go away for the night but I don't think my mom can handle all 3 of my boys We're going to wait a couple more yrs (hopefully on 3 more) and then go away for about 5days for our honeymoon that we never had
Well thanks again everyone and if anyone else has any other opinions feel free to share we won't be deciding until tonight or tom am.

It was OK, but I've been to better places. It's nice to go for the experience of going. and, it's good...don't get me wrong. But definately not the best.
