Re: pg'er crashing with a question
A friend offered me a full size swing so I registered for the infant-toddler rocker (FP) - the orange/blue one
I really like that rocker b/c it vibrated which kept ds calm. He slept in it a lot the first few months. He slept in that or his crib - no bassenet (sp). Plus, it folded so we could take it with us when we went out - which worked out very well.
The full size swing was good when he got older. I recomend one that you can switch between front/back, side/side b/c you don't know what dc will like once they get here. It would be easier if they came with a supply list like we got in elementry school
hth
ps we put the infant/toddler rocker away from about 9-15 months, ds is now 17 mos and likes to sit in it. The swing he outgrew around 10/12 months (25 pound limit).
plus - the rocker was $35, the swing was $100 so it wasn't like we "double-registered"

Re: pg'er crashing with a question
a friend gave us both a regular full sized swing and a travel swing.
to be honest - we use them both. i've used the travel swing in the bathroom before (for showering, etc.) and the full sized swing is a lifesaver....as it switches from side to side to front to back swing - some days Emma likes side to side and other days she's all about front to back...so having that option is a Godsend!

We had the full size swing but as times I wish I had the travel swing. (My friends had it and loved the travel swings)

I wish I registered for a travel swing, and I wish I registered for a swing that goes side to side and front to back. You'll never know what DC likes, so I say register for both!

Re: pg'er crashing with a question
I registered and reciever a full size and a travel swing. DD is 8 wks old and I have used the travel swing twice. She uses the full size one daily when I am cooking or cleaning but when we go to someone's house they ALWAYS want to hold her. LOL.....I don't think it was a waste though because there were 2 nites when my dogs wouldnt stop stealing her binky so I put the travel swing up on the table and they left her alone . Depends really on what you need it for..HTH

Re: pg'er crashing with a question
We have both and glad we do. With DD#1 we traveled quite a bit with her, so the travel swing was used alot. Plus, we live in a 3 level townhome, so the big swing was in the playroom, and the travel swing stayed on the main floor.

Re: pg'er crashing with a question
We got the full size swing and couldn't have lived without it. DS spent many nights sleeping in it b/c he his reflux. When we were out, we'd leave him in his infant carrier and rock him in it.
