I don't care that he smoked pot at all. But if I was if I were paying someone a ton of money for their wholesome image, and that image was tarnished, I wouldn't want to continue paying them. I don't see the big deal in that. Its a business decision. Why should he get paid a ton of money- probably more than most people make in a year, as a side gig schilling products when he
no longer embodies the image of a wholesome athlete. Walking around with a bong tarnishes that.
Exactly....I don't care that he smoked it, I don't care that someone sold the picture, the role model thing is out the window
I just agree, why should he get paid tons of money when he isn't living up to his end of the bargain

See, i agree that the public outcry over this has gotten a bit out of hand. And i don't agree that he should be criminally punished for it - it sounds to me like the sheriff of that county is looking for publicity. There's no proof (that would stand up in a court) of where/when that picture was taken so how can they prove definitively it was within that sheriffs jurisdiction?
Kelloggs has every right to drop him if they don't think he fits the mold of a spokesperson for their company. Thats their perogative if they're paying him.
He made a stupid mistake, and has apologized for it. Now, if he continues to do it, and gets caught, then he's just an idiot.
Was it was dumb of him to smoke in the first place and then get caught, knowing he's in the spotlight? Yes. However, it wasn't thaaat bad of a 'crime'. Its not like he was shooting heroin, or snorting coke or taking steroids. He was relaxing at a party - no different from doing a keg stand if you ask me.
If he was caught taking steroids then that takes it in a whole different direction, as that would directly affect his performance as an athlete. All smoking pot is going to do him is make him lazy, not enhance his performance at all.
I hope this suspension teaches him enough of a lesson to really watch himself and think about what he could potentially be throwing away. He's got the rest of his life to get high if he wants..
