Photo Paper
I've tried HP, Epson, Kodak and Canon.
Still can't seem to find a really, really great one.
Anyone have any other suggestions??

Re: Photo Paper
What printer are you using? I've found that the printer ink and papers are formulated to be compatible when you get into the higher end printers.
I have the Epson 1280 wide format printer and use the Epson paper and ink and the Premium Glossy paper gives me results that look just like a photo lab. The regular glossy isn't the same - you see layers of ink on the surface. It's well worth the extra money to get the Premium Glossy
The Ultra Premium Luster paper is really incredible too, but more that you really need for printing snapshots - it's great for art prints though, especially if you can print large format on the 13 x 19 papers.
www.atlex.com is my favorite on-line source for inks and papers at a good price - especially if you by more than one cartridge at time so the savings offset the shipping.

Re: Photo Paper
I have a Canon printer and only use Canon paper. Anytime I have tried different paper (kodax hp etc) it looks like crap.

Thank you for your responses!
In response to KLSBear's question...We have a Canon i900D...And you know, now that I think about it, the Canon paper probably does produce the best results (with the Canon ink too, of course!)
Perhaps I should be asking for printer suggesetions instead of just paper!
Thanks

Re: Photo Paper
I have an HP. Everything looks awesome on HP paper with HP inks. Make sure you're setting up for the TYPE of paper as well.

I have an Epson printer & use Epson or Staples brand photo paper.
Do you adjust your printer settings for the photo paper? KLSBear gave me the proper settings for my printer (we have the same one) & OMG what a difference!

Re: Photo Paper
Hello. Still trying to get this all squared away...
When you refer to making sure the settings are right, do you mean the 'glossy vs. matte' option and the 'photo paper vs. photo paper plus' one too...That type of stuff?
I cannot even tell you how badly my pictures that are printed on HP paper are coming out. I don't know why!! (And it's annoying because I have so much of it )

Re: Photo Paper
Yep, that's what I am talking about - the paper type, etc. My printer options include settings for photos - maybe even the subject too (people vs nature).
Did you do printer maintenance? Clean the printer heads & that sort of thing.
