Photography & backdrop related question......
Does this seem like a good deal? Not so crazy about the green, but the black & white backdrops and all the stands & lights for this price seems to good!!!

Re: Photography & backdrop related question......
It's a decent price for what it is...
But it's not really great stuff....
If you were going to go with them I would see if you could get the backdrops in a larger size. 6X9 really isnt big enough....(The green one is a chromakey backdrop and actually gives you a ton of possibilities)
I actually have the same stand for the backdrops. The only issue with the stand is that it's difficult to level. But it's fairly well made.
All in all..for what you are getting. The price and the quality are worth the $$$. Most of this stuff is really expensive. But you can tell what cost $$$ and what didnt...KWIM?

Re: Photography & backdrop related question......
From what I understand, the muslin is hard to work with because it wrinkles so much.
Most of the people I know opt for the paper rolls (B&H had them for the least expensive price).

Re: Photography & backdrop related question......
I have mostley 6x9 and it is perfect for what I use it for. I don't photograph a large group so it is fine.
I have that stand too and love it. I also had that light but it broke (garbage).
Muslin is really hard to work with unless you can have it hung up all the time. It wrinkles very easily. I just started using paper and love it
I would buy some paper rolls from B&H and just the backdrop stand from ebay. That is what I did.

Good info!! I was leaning towards using paper anyhow!!
Can someone post a link to the B&H paper rolls you use?

Re: Photography & backdrop related question......
with a muslin, you have to iron it if you break it down and put it back up. if it was something that was up 24/7, a muslin would be good. parts arent the best as stated above. Look at B&H kits as i'm sure they have somthing similar.

Re: Photography & backdrop related question......
Nothing beats a big roll of paper cheap and easy to store/use. Only issue is when people have dirty feet or care is not given and it tears. But this isn't so bad this setup except for the lights - if your going to shoot professionally get the strobes and use you TTL flash as your master to start. Those lights are not going to help you at all (in my opinion)
