photoshop users...
please tell me.. with photoshop elements can i turn the pictures black and white and then add color in certain spots? or do i need adobe photoshop for that?? what exactly CAN"T i do with elements.. i don't know if i should "upgrade" the one i got for christmas.

You should be able to - I unfortunately can't give you the commands b/c I have Photoshop CS2.
Go on the help section and see if you can find it. If not you can google some chat rooms for users and they'll be able to tell you how if someone on here can't - try NFR as well.

you can definitely do that in Elements.
honestly, after a year with Elements, I haven't found anything I needed that I didn't have. I think the bulk of the differences are the really advanced photo editing features.

I have Elements 5.0 (its up to 6.0 now) and you can definitely do that!
