pick up laundry service vs laundromat?
Anyone use Long Island Laundry and Dry Cleaning for their laundry (not dry cleaning?)
I have never sent laundry out to be washed and folded by someone else. Have to do it for a little while or use a laundromat (which I have done in the past). Not sure which way to go.

Re: pick up laundry service vs laundromat?
I have never used that place, but I did send my stuff out to be washed and picked up, and half the stuff in my bag wasn't mine. I had to go back and it was just easier to go to the laundromat and wait.

I dropped my stuff off once (somewhere else) and they shrunk a lot of my clothes. I have to hang dry a lot of it, so its just easier to do myself.

When I was in that situTion I would always do it myself.
They shrank something once and I never had them do it again.

Re: pick up laundry service vs laundromat?
I send my laundry out to be washed and folded every week. I hate doing/folding laundry. We really don't have issues with it, but I never put anything in the wash that is really really important...most underwear, tanks, tees, and some jeans that I have washed a lot and aren't at risk for shrinking. It's been 7 years and I don't recall many issues with it. (we did this is Manhattan and now Queens, though...not the place you mentioned).

I've sent mine out a lot but am particular about what I send. They can do sheets, towels, and husband's clothes But I prefer to was our skivvies and my/ds's clothes myself.
